What happens to the details you send me, in plain words. Last updated 19 October 2026.

Who I am

Who looks after your details

I'm Maryan Nitefor, a sole trader trading as Nitefor Marketing, based in Hayes, West London. I decide what happens to the details you send me. That makes me the "controller" under UK data protection law.

You can reach me about anything on this page at hello@nitefor.co.uk.

What I collect

What you send me, and not much else

When you send the enquiry form, I get:

  • your name
  • your business name
  • your phone or WhatsApp number
  • your message, if you write one
  • which page of the site you sent it from

If you message me on WhatsApp, call or email instead, I get whatever you send that way. If you book a free check, I also look at what's public about your business, such as your Google listing, reviews, social pages and website. I keep my notes with your enquiry.

The form needs your name, your business name and a number to reach you; without them I can't reply. The message is up to you. I don't make any automated decisions about you.

Why

To reply, and to do any work you ask for

I use your details to reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, to arrange the free check or the work you want. The law calls this taking steps at your request before a contract.

If you're asking on behalf of a company, or just asking a question, I rely instead on my legitimate interest in replying to people who contact me. I also keep a record of every enquiry for up to 12 months, under my legitimate interest in knowing who has been in touch.

If you become a client, I use your details to do the work and to keep the records the law requires.

I don't add you to a mailing list, I don't sell your details, and I don't share them for anyone's marketing.

Who else handles it

The services that help me run the business

Cloudflare hosts this website and runs the form, on my instructions. Like any web host, it also sees connection details such as your IP address, which it uses for its own work keeping its network safe. Its privacy policy explains how. I rely on my legitimate interest in running the site securely.

Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, USA) is in the United States. Data sent there is covered by the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which UK law recognises as giving adequate protection.

Brevo turns the form into an email and sends it to me, on my instructions. Brevo SAS (17 rue Salneuve, 75017 Paris, France) stores data in France and Belgium, which UK law treats as giving adequate protection.

My email provider runs my business email, where your enquiry arrives and stays until I delete it.

WhatsApp, run by Meta, carries any WhatsApp messages you send me. Those messages and my call records stay on my phone and its backup, and I delete them on the same timetable as other enquiries.

How long I keep it

No longer than I need to

If your enquiry doesn't lead to any work, I delete it within 12 months of when we last spoke.

If you become a client, I keep what I need while I work for you. After that I keep it for six years, because HMRC and contract law expect records to be kept that long.

Brevo does not keep a copy of the email itself. It keeps a delivery record (who it went to, when, and the subject line) for one month, then deletes it.

Cookies

This site doesn't use any

This site doesn't store anything on your device: no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers. That's why you haven't been asked to accept any.

Your rights

What you can ask me to do

You can ask me to:

  • tell you what details I hold about you and give you a copy
  • correct anything that's wrong
  • delete your details
  • limit what I do with them
  • send them to you or someone else in a common format

You can also object. Where I rely on my legitimate interests, you can tell me to stop using your details. I will, unless I have a strong reason the law accepts.

Email hello@nitefor.co.uk. I'll reply within a month, and there's no charge.

Complaints

If you're not happy

Please tell me first, by emailing hello@nitefor.co.uk with "Data complaint" in the subject. I'll confirm I've got it within 30 days, look into it properly, and tell you what I've done.

You can also complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commission. Until September 2026 it was called the Information Commissioner's Office. Go to ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or call 0303 123 1113.
